We have a secondhand charity shop in the Main Road. All profit made from the sales of second hand clothing, crockery, cutlery, toys and other donations are used for the general running costs of our kennels, salaries of our kennel manager and part-time kennel hand, fuel expenses and vet accounts. Please consider to donate your hand-me-downs to our second hand shop.

BARC Gansbaai Animal Welfare is situated in the Overberg Region of the Western Cape. Gansbaai is a small fisherman's community and we are dependent on outside sources to continue to maintain our success. BARC caters for approximately 7000 households over a 1000km radius.
Our incomes derives mainly from our municipal contract for the care and board of community animals, lost and strays.
We have a second hand charity shop that contributes toward the salaries of our employees, rent, vet accounts and general kennel upkeep.
As any other Animal Welfare Organization, we rely on our supporters for donations of food, funds toward our vet account, maintenance and at this stage we are in critical need of funds for building and upgrades at our premises before the winter.

Microchip & Puppy Adoption Day - 8 Feb 2015 10am - 2pm
Join us at ABSA Park Sports ground for our microchip drive and get your pet microchipped for only R150 once off. We will also bring our adorable puppies available for adoption.
